The ABAMI experiential workshops are designed to develop competencies, behaviors, and skills. The portfolio has two foundational models and over 100 modules . We use a blended active learning approach for designing each development journey.
The workshops delivery is a combined transformational and experiential methodology delivered in small bites ( SPIKE sessions) to allow maximum assimilation.
The ABAMI experiential workshops are based on two solid foundation models, one for an effective team member and another for a high impact leader. The models combine both smart and healthy aspects of the development journey and are based on best practices in people and organizational development.
The four development stages as shown in the models are:
- Connecting with others
- The organization
- The landscape
The ABAMI consultants use the model as a foundation and chose the appropriate subject from the modules dictionary to create a customized journey for each audience.
The workshop delivery uses the transformational development methodology combined with the experiential learning methodology to ensure the maximum retention by the participants and to effectively allow each individual to assimilate the information and internalize it at their own pace. The modules are designed to be delivered in short, practical and highly engaging sessions.
The ABAMI modules dictionary encompasses over 100 modules and a number of business simulations to address the four stages of the foundation models. Each module is designed using the SPIKE design approach. Delivery can be flexibly designed to meet the needs and schedule of the participants. Modules can be kept separate and delivered in half day sessions or combined and constitute one or two-day workshops. With the target audience in mind, the journey will allow the participants to build the required character traits, skills and build their tool box which they take forward into the work environment.
Our development journeys utilize a blended active learning approach based on the application of different tools and platforms to ensure the highest retention and assimilation rates. This approach is built on the industry best practices and the 70:20:10 model for learning and development to give all participants the opportunity to learn, internalize, apply, receive feedback and develop.
Our solutions consist of several key components:
- Experiential modules covering the key competencies
- Pre-work for each of the four stages
- Post stage group coaching session to review each stage
- A work based project to be attempted in small teams and presented at the end of the journey
